This December I am hosting my very first pop up Afternoon Tea! I have been wanting to organise an Afternoon Tea pop up for a while now...but as many small business owners know...it is hard to multitask between fulfilling orders and developing new ideas!
I have been popping up with cake stalls in various locations for most of this year. They have been a great way of meeting new and regular customers and super research for finding out what your favourites are!
So THIS December (Friday 16th to be exact!), I thought I needed to get the Afternoon Tea idea off the ground. For those of you who don't know my background before starting Catherine's Cake House - I trained at the Ritz in London and alongside a team of 16 pastry chefs I helped produce 400 Afternoon Teas a day. Since then I have been developing my own recipes for Catherine's Cake House Afternoon Tea!
With my ideas developed...I still needed a venue to hold a pop up. One day the penny dropped...I love the Newcastle Quayside and have had quite a number of enjoyable coffee's in the Cycle Hub. I noticed a poster they had up advertising their space for events and thought BINGO. It was ticking all my boxes:
Great size
Super location with brilliant views
Friendly staff
Lovely tea and coffee (unlimited amounts included in your ticket!)
Licence...for that all important glass of fizz (included!)
Gorgeous, twinkly fairy lights
Parking right outside (and of course plenty of bike lock ups!)
